Hi Jack, although your work here shows some understanding of gay people / characters on tv and in films you havent really followed the sheet I have given you. For each character you were supposed to say whether they represented gay people in a good or bad way to people. Eg Alan Carr is very loud and often is seen as obnoxious and some people might watch him and assume wrongly that all gay men are like this.
ReplyDeleteAlso be careful about mixing up the real people's names and their character's names. For example Ian McKellan (the actor) is gay in real life. But the character he plays in Lord of the Rings (Gandalf) is not gay.
Also be careful that you don't generalise about gay people at the end. Although some gay people do die from Aids, straight people also get this disease so it is not just gay people that die from it.
Next time we do a task like this I want you to really try and follow the bullet points on the task sheet and ask me for help if you don't understand.
